Kenneth Grossman, PhD is one of the most qualified Hypnotherapists in the world today. He has hypnotized hundreds of thousand people in the United States and around the world. He has written and recorded many top selling personal growth and development programs.

His undergraduate work was done at the University of Chicago and the University of Nebraska at Omaha and he received his doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. Further, he earned a Harvard University Medical School Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine for Weight Loss Management and a Certificate from Cornell University In Plant-Based Nutrition.


He studied hypnotism with the leading teachers both in the United States and in the United Kingdom. He trained in London at the UK Academy of Therapeutic Arts and Sciences. He received his International Certified Instructor Certificate in Hypnotherapy from the National Guild of Hypnotists.

He was the Director of the Hypnotism Training Institute of Chicago for more than 15 years or as an adjunct professor at Moraine Valley College near Chicago where he taught hypnosis and has lectured at many Chicago area colleges.


Dr. Ken enjoys creating world-class hypnotherapy programs, coaching, consulting, speaking and writing. Nothing thrills him more than guiding people into hypnosis and seeing them accomplish things they never believed possible.


He has always had a passion for sailing and feels very at home on the ocean. He has sailed many tens of thousands of miles. He is a Licensed United States Coast Guard 100 Ton Master Captain.

He is a graduate of the Annapolis School of Seamanship and the Chapman School of Seamanship. He has sailed the Great Lakes, the Atlantic, the Intercoastal Waterway, the Gulf of Mexico, most all of the Caribbean Islands, Cuba, South America and the Hawaiian Islands.


He is also a both a NAUI and PADI certified SCUBA diver with hundreds of open ocean dives. He holds an Amateur Radio License with call sign KG4ISX.

He has an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, having served for four years during the Viet Nam era. He has a passion for both golf and fly fishing.


He believes in living life to the fullest and his wanderlust has taken him all over the world. During one exploration he had the opportunity to spend several months living amongst the Kuna Indians, the last indigenous people of the Caribbean who inhabit the San Blas Islands of Panama.


While there he was one of the few outsiders ever to attend a Kuna puberty ritual ceremony as the guest of a Kuna chief. He was privileged to be able to visit with many of the Kuna shaman throughout the San Blas Islands. They allowed him to study their primitive healing techniques first hand. What an amazing experience!


Dr. Ken has been married to Jane for 28 years. Jane is a breast cancer survivor who has published a book about their sailing adventures from Chicago to South America aboard Iniki their 34' Pacific Seacraft Crealock sailboat.

Jane is volunteer speaker for the Susan G. Komen Foundation which raises money for breast cancer.


Besides raising awareness and funds for breast cancer, Dr. Ken other special cause is the men and women of the United States Armed Forces and reducing their chances of getting post traumatic stress syndrome. He  founded the Military Combat Stress Relief Foundation, Inc, www.MilitaryStress.org a 501(3)C non-profit charity which provides stress relief programs for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
